Dinner Reception with Chef Lori Hashimoto (a 2022 James Beard Semifinalist). We will begin with a demo from Chef Hashimoto and dinner with follow. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy some amazing food, sake and mingle. Everyone is welcome to register for the dinner reception (you don’t have to be registered for the workshop to participate). Sunday, February 19th, 2023 (Phoenix Area Tour)
Tickets: $119 NAJGA/JFGPHX Members/ $129 Non-Members
We will carpool from JFGPHX and visit three sites: Taliesin West, a private bonsai collection, and the Desert Botanical Garden (DBG). We’ll participate in an audio tour at Taliesin West and explore DBG on our own. Lunch wont be included in the tour, but DBG has two great options: a sit-down restaurant- Gertrude’s– and a grab-and go Patio Cafe. Everyone is welcome to register for this tour (you don’t have to be registered for the regional workshop to participate).
8:45 AM: Meet at JFG
9:00 AM: Depart JFG for Taliesin West
9:30 AM: Arrive at Taliesin West
9:45 AM- 10:45 AM: Taliesin Tour (Audio Tour)
11:15 AM: Depart Taliesin West for Bonsai exhibit
11:45 AM: Arrive at Bonsai exhibit
1:00 PM: Depart Bonsai exhibit for the Desert Botanical Garden.
1:30 PM- 4:00 PM: Arrival at DBG, then free time in the garden and lunch on your own
4:00 PM: Depart DBG
4:15 PM: Return to JFG
