Description:
Provided by Antonio Viglietto: In the small and quiet Parc dell’Amitiè, at Rueil Malmaison, West Paris, a red Torii is the gateway to a Japanese corner. A short river ends to a stagnant lake. The path goes around the river and, crossing a red wooden bridge, leads to a kare-san-sui. The rectangular frame includes eight rocks scattered on white gravel.
No information about the designer and the time of construction were available. When I was there, in 2014, the gravel was not racked and the whole Japanese garden appeared somewhat abandoned. I hope it has been restored now.
