British Columbia (Coast)
Note* Victoria has some Cherry Blossom events as well.
Lethbridge: Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden kicks off their May opening with the Crabapple Blossoms symbolic of the Cherry Blossom. Early May it allows the Garden to celebrate Golden Week (Children’s Week/Japan) and Mother’s Day (May Ochakai) which brings two holidays from different cultures to be celebrated as the Garden opens.
Edmonton: Including the provincial Legislature is just one spot were the blossoms brighten up the grounds but with Edmonton’s 145 kilometer trail, it takes you to many areas were the blossoms can be viewed.
Niagara Region: Niagara Cherry Blossom Ride– Fun and Different! Not Garden related but intriguing. For those who can’t wait to get their bicycles and/or motorcycles out to meet spring. This 110km ride could bring your passion for the road and love of cherry blossoms together.

Hawaii Cherry Blossom Festival in Honolulu (Jan-March)
Cherry Blossom Season at Japanese Friendship Garden of San Diego (throughout the month of March)
Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival (San Francisco) (Virtually on April 10, 11, 17, and 18th)
Seattle Cherry Blossom & Japanese Cultural Festival (Virtual Festival- April 25th-26th, 2021)
Indiana Cherry Blossom Festival Fort Wayne (Virtual Festival- May 16th, 2021)
Philadelphia Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival-Started in 1998 when Philadelphia was honored with another donation from the Japanese Government of 1,600 cherry trees. The first cherry tree was planted in 1926 (Virtual Ohanami on April 10th, Virtual 10k & 5K between April 10th- April 18th, 2021)
National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington D.C. (March 20th- April 11th, 2021)
