Ich2 (640x348)NAJGA, in conjunction with the Aesthetic Pruning Association (APA), is pleased to announce a lecture series, pruning workshop and tour of private gardens in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Learn hands-on pruning techniques with Japanese-trained experts in the field and tour significant local private gardens together with specialists in garden design, pruning and history - Saturday's garden tour is sold out, but spaces are still available for the pruning workshop and lecture series!

Thursday evening's lecture series starts at 7 PM and will focus on the history, culture and lessons of pruning and will be held at the Executive Inn and Suites, Embarcadero, Oakland.

Friday's pruning workshop will be a day of demonstration and insight and will take place at Lakeside Park's Japanese garden. Workshop leaders, Toshikazu Eto, Yuki Nara, and Avram Dalton will guide workshop participants through "pruning in the context of shizen" using a variety of plant types.  8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

On-line registration is now open.  Participants may register for one or both remaining days of the workshop.
